Xiaomi Mi 11T Pro supports 120W fast charging

Xiaomi unveiled the Mi flagship T-series at the Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro in 2019. However, these devices were based on the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro from China (and India). But last year, the company decided to introduce the Mi 10T, Mi 10T Pro, and Mi 10T Lite as a whole new smartphone that isn’t based on existing Redmi phones. Now, Xiaomi maintains its strategy last year by introducing all-new smartphones in the form of Mi 11T and Mi 11T Pro. As the name implies, the Mi 11T Pro leads the gang in high-tier specifications. Apparently, it joins the Mi MIX 4 smartphone as the only Xiaomi 2021 Mi flagship with 120 WHyper Charge fast charging. After a round of rumors, Xiaomi decided to check this spec through Twitter in anticipation of September 15th.

Interestingly, with a 120W fast charge, the Mi 11 T Pro has almost twice as fast a charge as the original Mi 11 Pro. In fact, both the Mi 11 Pro and Ultra share exactly the same 67W fast charge. The Mi11T has a 5,000mAh battery, but so far nothing has been announced about wireless charging. The original device had 67W wireless charging.

Since the tweet specifically mentions the Xiaomi Mi 11T Pro, we assume that this specification is not included in the Vanilla Mi 11T. For comparison, the original 11 was charged wirelessly at 55W and 50W. There were also Mi 11X and 11X Pro, both of which were low-end models with a 33W fast charge.

Remember, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra was the first Xiaomi smartphone with a 120W fast charge. The company has already launched two BlackShark 4 models with HyperCharge technology, and more recently the Mi MIX 4. The Mi11TPro will be the latest device to participate in this carefully selected Mi flagship with HyperCharge technology. Xiaomi is already developing a 200W charging system, but the first flagship with it should only be available next year.

Claimed specifications of Mi11T and Mi11T Pro

Rumor has it that the Xiaomi Mi 11T Pro will feature the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC as the original 11 Pro. The vanilla Mi11T probably comes with a MediaTek Dimensity chip. Both devices have a 120Hz display, similar to the previous model. The high refresh rate display was one of the “trademarks” of the Mi11T series.

The new smartphone will be officially released on September 15th. Therefore, Xiaomi is still a week away to continue building hype for future smartphones. Xiaomi Mi 11T Pro supports 120W fast charging
