Watch Live: Police Discuss Carly Russell Case Details

Birmingham, Alabama (wiatt) — The Hoover Police Department will hold a press conference Wednesday afternoon regarding the disappearance and return of Carly Russell last week.

Russell, 25, grabbed international attention After she reported seeing a child walking along Interstate 459 near Hoover, On July 13, after Russell had left work, police arrived at the location where Russell had reported seeing the child, but Russell’s car was empty and there was no sign of her. She was then declared missing and an extensive search was conducted to find her.

Russell was found safe on July 15. Her family told police she walked home. She was then taken to UAB hospital for treatment.

In the days since she returned home from her disappearance, questions have been raised online about what happened to Russell. during preliminary investigationPolice reported that they found no evidence of the child walking on the area’s interstate highway.

Russell’s family recently heard that Russell was kidnapped and that the person responsible is still there.
