Video: Fires reported after ‘dangerous’ tornado rips through Selma, Alabama

Selma, Alabama (WKRGMore) — Severe weather swept through Alabama on Thursday, leaving damage from Mobile County to the Tennessee Valley. Birmingham’s National Weather Service said a “large and very dangerous tornado” hit the town of Selma.
The NWS reported “significant damage to buildings, power lines, trees, and vehicles.” But that wasn’t the end of the devastating day in central Alabama. A video from Selma resident Krishun Moore shows tornado damage in a residential neighborhood. I hear another person saying they hear babies crying.

selma authorities Said Most streets in the city were closed after power lines and trees fell, but all schools reported students unharmed, he said.
