VAS Engineering Selects New Nordson Assure FLEX E Component Counters

Nordson TEST & INSPECTION, Nordson Corporation announced that VAS Engineering has successfully installed Assure FLEX component counters and seamlessly integrated them into their inventory management process. Since 1987, VAS Engineering has provided San Diego with quality contract manufacturing services for the electronics industry.

Raj Vora, Manufacturing Engineer at VAS, said: Tying the entire inventory process together by linking Assure FLEX to automated storage towers, dynamic shelving and ERP systems such as JUKI ISM is next level and what we have accomplished in the past year at VAS Engineering . A total solution between the two companies gives you complete control over 100% of your inventory, from inbound to disposal, with peace of mind. Since the beginning of this integration, line down times due to unforeseen component shortages have been significantly reduced. ”

Assure FLEX includes an internal conveyor system specifically built for direct integration into inventory control systems, standard conveyors, or other robotic loading mechanisms. Todd O’Neil, Business Development Manager at Nordson Test & Inspection, said: In addition, “We also get the opportunity to work closely with other suppliers to provide the best possible solution at each plant, so we feel they are getting the most out of everything.” He is the only X-ray component counter in the world that can be directly controlled. Assure FLEX can be configured “hands-off”, requiring no operator involvement in counting. The Assure FLEX can also be used as a standard standalone machine for quick reel counting.

VAS circuit boards travel 20,000 feet below sea level, 30,000 feet above sea level, and everywhere in between. VAS Engineering’s ISO 9001:2015 accreditation, combined with state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and dedicated staff, allows the company to remain competitive while providing high quality service and rapid turnaround of orders. The tremendous growth that VAS Engineering has experienced is the result of our dedication to providing our customers with quality products and excellent service on time.
