UPDATE: Gulf Shores police say shooting call was a prank

UPDATE (4:40 PM): Gulf Shores Police said the shooting calls they and other agencies were brought to at the Gulf State Park lodge were a prank.
Police said it was a “slap” prank. “Swatting” is when someone reports a false emergency to force law enforcement, especially her SWAT team, to respond.
Gulf Shores, Alabama (WKRGMore) — The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office said it had received a call about a possible shooting at a lodge in Gulf State Park.The BCSO said the call was a possible prank.
The BCSO said Gulf Shores Police, Gulf Shores Fire, and sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene but found nothing.
