Unlicensed mobile subscriber arrested on suspicion of theft and identity theft: Mobile DA

Mobile, Alabama (WKRGMore) — An unlicensed contractor in the Mobile area has been arrested on multiple theft and identity theft charges, according to a statement by the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office.

James Gill, 46, was arrested Thursday with 23 valid warrants. Gill has been charged with 12 counts of first-degree theft and 11 counts of identity theft. According to the statement, Gill is accused of taking money from clients to keep his work incomplete or incapacitated.

“Our office is committed to protecting the people of Mobile County by prosecuting those who have committed crimes. Mr. Gill will be found guilty in court,” said Mobile. County District Attorney Keith Blackwood said.

The Mobile Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation into Gill after receiving “several complaints” about him.
