TT Electronics and Radwave work together to bring a new electromagnetic platform for surgical navigation to market

TT ElectronicsAnnounced today that it has partnered with, a global provider of engineering electronics for performance-critical applications. Radwave Technologies Helps bring an accurate, reliable and customizable electromagnetic (EM) tracking platform to the surgical navigation market. This advanced technology provides a solution for medical device innovators looking to add new or improved EM capabilities to their medical devices. The complete navigation system can be customized to accurately track a wide range of minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic devices during surgery without a clear line of sight. The two companies will be demonstrating a platform with TT’s surgical navigation sensors at the MD & M West exhibition in Anaheim, August 10-12.

The Radwave Electromagnetic Tracking Platform is a new option for tracking surgical instruments, designed from the ground up for seamless integration into medical devices and clinical environments. Modular platforms can be quickly customized to specifications and are highly accurate with fast sampling rates using state-of-the-art algorithms and components. The thin, lightweight field-generated antenna is translucent during fluoroscopy and can be easily customized to accommodate different detection volumes. The platform also features a fully encrypted API that is easy to integrate and comes with an open source SDK. TT Electronics supports the Radwave platform by providing full manufacturing capabilities across a variety of key sensor technologies. TT’s sensor technology allows the platform to provide the highest accuracy and accuracy, even in difficult configurations where other EM systems are limited by interference and sensing volume constraints.

“TT has supported medical and life sciences customers around the world for over a decade. Partnerships with medical innovators like Radwave are important to our evolving healthcare strategy,” said Michael Leehan’s TT. Electronics EVP says. “Through our collaboration, this technology has incredible potential to disrupt the industry and ultimately improve patient outcomes. This is a shared mission of both companies.”

“This collaboration is an important milestone for Radwave,” said Andrew Brown, CEO of Radwave Technologies. “Since its inception, we have stated that we want to work with the best technologies and partners to revolutionize the EM tracking industry and create the most accurate EM tracking platform. This partnership with TT is perfect for our customers. We can provide a complete tracking solution. “
