Time in prison for mobile robbery inmates killed in Alabama prison

Bessemer, Alabama (WIATMore) — An inmate serving a life sentence at the William E. Donaldson Correctional Institution in Bessemer was murdered Monday afternoon.
Kenneth Earl Ray II, 32, was found after suffering “sharp force injuries” during an assault by another inmate around 2:40 p.m. Monday, according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office. .Confirmed dead at 3:05 p.m.
The Alabama Department of Corrections is investigating Ray’s death as a homicide.
He was serving a life sentence after being convicted of robbery in Mobile County in 2008.
