Three boaters rescued near Pascagoula, Mississippi: US Coast Guard

Miss Pazcaguola (WKRGMore) — Three sailors were rescued from a sunken ship near Pascagoula, Mississippi, on Monday morning. Released from the US Coast Guard.

The USCG said it received a distress alert from an “emergency locating radio beacon” about 11 miles southeast of Pascagoula at approximately 8:11 am on Monday, January 30.

The USCG said it contacted the ship’s owner and “informed her that her husband and two others were on the boat to fish and could not be reached.”

One of the boaters was in the life raft and two others were standing in the bow of the boat when the USCG arrived.

Sector Mobile and Coast Guard Station Pascagoula coordinated the rescue. All three were reportedly in stable stations and transferred to Bayou La Battle, Alabama.
