The first MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC-equipped phone released in 2022

According to fresh information, the first smartphone with MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC is unlikely to arrive this year. Taiwan-based chipset company defeated Qualcomm and last week unveiled its flagship product, the 4nm Dimensity 9000 SoC. Meanwhile, Qualcomm is about to launch a new Snapdragon SoC next week. MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000 processor locks the horn with the Snapdragon 898 (aka Snapdragon 8 Gen 1).

However, devices with the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 processor may be officially released sooner than devices with MediaTek products. Earlier this month, MediaTek claimed that the Dimensity 9000 managed to beat the A15 chip that powers the Apple iPhone 13. please remember. MediaTek’s high-end products have failed in reaching the Qualcomm Snapdragon series level. But Dimensity 9000 seems to finally change that.

Release date of MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC

Realme, Redmi, Xiaomi, and many other popular brands are reported to launch Dimensity 9000-powered smartphones in the first quarter of 2022. According to a new report from MyDrivers, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, which is also expected, will be available on November 30th, while phones draw power from the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor. In addition, the first phone with the latest Snapdragon SoC will be officially launched in December.

Xiaomi is currently preparing for the launch of the new smartphone Xiaomi 12, which will be launched in China on December 12. If the rumor of doing a round online turns out to be true, the Xiaomi 12 turns out to be the first mobile phone with the new Snapdragon SoC. Apart from that, according to the report, the Dimensity 9000 SoC will debut on the Redmi K50 Gaming series of smartphones. In addition, the phone is reportedly equipped with an OLED display with a refresh rate of 144Hz, a 64MP Sony IMX686 main camera, and a fingerprint scanner inside the display.

Main functions (expectations)

The long-awaited Dimensity 9000 SoC probably boasts an impressive array of new features. For example, it could be the first processor based on a 4nm process. Apart from that, the processor adopts the new ARMv9 architecture with 1 + 3 + 4 clusters. In addition, it is equipped with a prime X2 core that clocks at 05GHz. There are three Cortex-A710 performance cores with a clock rate of 2.85GHz. What’s more, it has four efficiency cores that clock at 1.8GHz.

In addition, a highly capable 10-core Mali-710 GPU handles the game and overall graphics performance. This chip, coupled with Full HD + resolution, offers a high refresh rate of 180Hz. In addition, it supports sensors up to 320MP. The chipset also allows users to record 4K HDR video using three camera lenses at the same time. As if that weren’t enough, the ISP supports 8K 30fps and 4K 120fps video recording.

In addition, the chipset provides reliable connectivity options. These include WiFi 6E2 x 2 and Bluetooth 5.3. It is also worth noting that it will be the world’s first SoC to offer a peak download speed of 7 Gbps over a 300 MHz sub 6 GHz 5G network (3CC carrier aggregation).
