While no longer Dyson’s latest and greatest, This stick vac remains an impressive performer. It is also the most expensive machine in the test group. On hardwood floors, this Dyson vacuum cleaner literally wiped bare floors clean from dust and dirt. A cordless vacuum cleaner with a lithium-ion rechargeable battery pack showed near-perfect pickups of both sand and black rice test samples (99.6% and 100%, respectively).

Pet owners will also appreciate V11’s ability to eliminate pet hair. During the case test, the Dyson Stick Vacuum Cleaner completely removed hair fibers and dust from medium and low pile carpets. The pick-up of pet hair across the hardwood floor was about the same. The only critics were the evacuated mass at the top of the test area and some strands wrapped around the V11’s brush roll.

I certainly like how easy it is to empty the V11 Trash. Simply point the vacuum cleaner at the trash can and press the release tab to open the trash can lid. To close it, pull the tab in the opposite direction. The other models we tested were nightmares in this regard. HooverBladeMax gave us the most problems. Hair and dust were usually trapped deep inside the dirt cup. I found it difficult to open the bottle. To make matters worse, it is not always clear whether the trash can is securely attached.

Dyson also bundles a number of attachments in the box. Among them are crevice tools for cleaning tight spaces, electric tools for upholstery, soft dusting brushes, and stubborn dirt brush heads for pulling dirt that has fallen from the carpet to the ground with strong suction. .. All of this gives the Dyson V11 a clear choice of the best price you can buy with a cordless vacuum cleaner.

The second best performer in the group of cordless vacuum cleaners was the Shark Rocket Pet Pro cordless. This cordless vacuum cleaner came very close Floor cleaning and Dyson V11However, the cost is hundreds less. Rocket cordless and bagless vacuum cleaners have removed as much sand from both mid-pile carpets and hardwood floors. In fact, the only area where Shark vacuums followed the V11 as the best cordless vacuums was on low pile carpets. So the cordless cleaner removed the 67.6% excess of the test sand. In contrast, Dyson V11 removed more sand from low-pile carpets (78.4% on average).

The rocket had no problems handling pet hair. With both low-pile carpet and hardwood, this handheld cordless vacuum cleaner wiped all traces of animal dander. Good results were also obtained for the entire mid-pile carpet. After the vacuum passed through a thicker, more challenging surface, only small tufts of hair remained.

Design is another strength of Rocket Pet Pro. The dust cup can be emptied as easily as the Dyson V11. Dust cups are usually free of dirt and debris and will not clog inside after being emptied. We also appreciate how the Rocket Pet Pro wand and upholstery tools stand upright on their own (separated from the main vacuum unit). The LED light on the nozzle helps to check for dirt and debris around the house. It can also be easily charged using a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. So if you’re looking for a mid-range cordless upright stick VAC with good cleaning power, Shark’s Rocket Pro is a great option.

Moosoo is not exactly a generic name. Nonetheless, the Moosoo M X6 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner is packed with great punches given its low price. At a much lower cost than competing cordless vacuum cleaner options, the MX6 performed fourth best in a test group of eight models.

Stick vacuum picked up 99% (average) of test sand from hardwoods. For low-pile carpets, that number sank to 41.3%. The M X6 worked well across thick mid-pile carpets, averaging 52.2% higher sand pickups.

Our large particle test soil, black rice, was the breeze of the Moosoo vacuum cleaner. We managed an average of over 90% of pickups on hardwood, low pile and medium pile carpets (95.4, 96.8 and 94% respectively).

However, if you are a pet owner, do not buy the Moosoo MX6. The disadvantage is that at least some visible debris remains after vacuuming, regardless of the test surface. Brush rolls tend to wrap the hair around itself.

However, if you want to use a cordless vacuum cleaner on a tight budget, consider the Moosoo MX6. It may just fit the bill, and with much less cash.

If you want to own a Dyson vacuum cleaner but don’t want to spend the maximum amount, consider the Dyson V8 Absolute Hand Vacuum Cleaner. This step-down cordless model is a few years old, but it still has strong suction and acts like a champion. In our floor cleaning test, the V8 was a good one-third. In our test group, only the Dyson V11 and Shark Rocket Pet Pro washed the floor better than the V8.

On hard floors, the vacuum cleaner was able to pick up an average of 98% of the sand we dropped. For low pile carpets, the average dropped to 68.3%. The average was only a significant 52%, but fell further across mid-pile carpets.

The pet’s hair didn’t move the V8’s hand vacuum too much either. I completely pulled my hair away from the mid-pile and low-pile carpets. It was not possible to remove a small amount of hardwood dander. In addition, some fibers wrapped around the vacuum cleaner’s brush roll. However, the washable filter was convenient.

Also, like the V11 Torque Drive, the V8 Absolute Upright Vacuum comes with a wide variety of add-ons. These include gadgets for dusting, crevice tools for reaching into tight spaces, soft cleaning heads for bare floors, electric brush rolls for catching dirt and debris that has fallen to the ground, and charging batteries. Includes a docking station. Therefore, for those who want to own a Dyson brand stickback with a little less cash, the V8 Absolute is worth a look.

How to test a cordless vacuum cleaner

Passing a cordless vacuum cleaner at your own pace is not that complicated Robot vacuum test It’s cleaner, but it still takes a lot of time and careful effort to find the best cordless vacuum cleaner. Each vacuum runs in a straight line across three different surfaces (hardwood, low pile carpet, medium pile carpet). The test area is the same length (30.25 inches) for all three test beds.

Custom tools can be used to match the soil area to the nozzle width of each vacuum cleaner. The amount of soil used for each test also depends on the type of flooring.

Tyler Lizenby / CNET

The width of the testbed is proportional to the nozzle width of the vacuum cleaner. This width is measured by yourself. Also, according to the guidelines of the International Electrotechnical Commission, calculate the soil density for each test using nozzle width and flooring type. IEC is an international standards body responsible for managing vacuum test procedures, among other things for vacuum manufacturers.

Test three types of floor vacuum cleaners.

Tyler Lizenby / CNET

We use 3 types of soil. Use a combination of play sand and landscaping sand to simulate small particle size. Use uncooked black rice to emulate larger dirt particles. Use a mixture of cutouts procured from a local pet groomer to see how the vacuum cleaner treats your pet’s hair.

Run the test in a straight line across all three floor types.

Brian Bennett / CNET

Run (at least) 3 runs on each floor type. Also, test the suction power separately with sand and rice. This will be at least 18 tests per vacuum. Weigh the vacuum cleaner trash can both before and after each run.
