Santa Rosa Co. Animal Services Hosts Microchip Drive-Thru Clinic

Santa Rosa County, Florida (WKRGMore) — Santa Rosa County Animal Services will host a low-cost microchip drive-thru clinic on Wednesday, March 1 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

The county has said only cats and dogs are eligible to be microchipped, and shelters will be closed to set up and operate clinics. stated that it would not be microchipped.

The Shelter will be closed for the clinic on Wednesday March 1st, but will resume normal business hours on Thursday March 2nd. – 5pm

Milton’s Pine Forest Road is open only to residents and microchip clinic attendees from noon to 5pm.

Microchips are $10 per pet, cash only. The county said all animals must be secured in vehicles and cats must be secured in carriers.

It may take several minutes for the microchip to be properly implanted and scanned, according to the shelter. Community her members wishing to attend should plan to arrive earlier than other drive-thru her clinics and expect longer wait times.
