Pritchard Police to Investigate First Murder Case of 2023

PRITCHARD, Alabama (WKRG) — Officials in the city of Pritchard are investigating the first murder of 2023.

George Lavon Bush, 45, was found dead in his car from a gunshot wound, officials said. The officer was originally summoned to his 400 block on Prichard Avenue between I-165 and St. Stephens Road at 2:30 am on January 7.

City officials said homicide investigators have identified 45-year-old Keenta Todd as “a possible shooter in question.” This is an open and active investigation. Anyone with information should contact the Pritchard Police Department.
