Monkey toy that screams choking hazard recalled

(WHTM) – Thousands of toy monkeys have been recalled due to choking hazards.
The recall affects approximately 6,000 Screaming Plush Monkey toys. U.S. Consumer Product Safety CommissionThis problem is particularly relevant to toy monkey eyes, which can become dislodged and pose a choking hazard.
Anyone who has this toy should remove it from their child immediately and contact Diamond Visions, the Wisconsin-based importer of this toy, to find out how to get a full refund.
No injuries have been reported.
According to the CPSC, the monkeys will be sold in “hardware and variety stores nationwide” from September 2021 to November 2022. Press the monkey’s paw and it will make a pre-recorded cry. The monkey’s arms can also be wrapped around an object or person’s neck, or attached to its front legs with Velcro.
According to the notice, the toys were brown, blue, or pink and sold for about $6 each.
The recalled stuffed monkey can be further identified by a tag printed with “Model TM-3280” and “Diamond Visions, Inc.”
