Mobile Book Expo brings together published and aspiring authors – WKRG News 5

Mobile, Alabama (WKRG) — A group of locals are organizing Mobile’s first ever book expo. The event attracts local writers and those looking to publish their work. This is an ambitious project to give people a chance to see how publishing works and to give encouragement to those new to the field.
The Mobile Book Expo will be held this Saturday from 11am to 2pm at the Central Presbyterian Church on Dauphin Street, Central Arts Collective. “Their mission is to give authors the opportunity to publish and sell their books, network with other authors, and learn more about the art of writing,” the organizers said. 25 authors gathered, most of them from our region
“We all learn from each other. Books are an essential part of life. Regardless of genre or niche, we felt this was a good opportunity to come together. Mobile has a rich history and culture, We share some of it with the community,” said Mobile Book Expo presenter Lena Payton-Webb. It features authoritative figures from multiple genres, including fiction, spirituality, self-help, and even comics and graphic novels. They wish them a successful weekend and hope to expand it in the coming months to improve local art projects. They are still looking for more writers. Facebook page Or call us at 888-213-8505.
