Pascagoula, Mississippi (AP)-Hundreds of people gathered to celebrate the Hispanic community along the Mississippi coast during Hispanic Cultural Heritage Month.
Saint Herald report A festival called Festival Hispanic was held in Pascagoula on Friday. Part of downtown city was blocked to facilitate pedestrian-only crowds. Various vendors sold food and drinks, arts and crafts.
Lazaroro Villa has been living on the coast since 2014. He helped launch a similar festival in 2015, but has since expired. When the new mayor contacted Robira about the revival of the festival, Robira told the newspaper that he was about to start crying.
