Fairhope, Alabama (WKRG) —Fairhope Film Festival will be held again this year – Virtual display options For those who are reluctant to attend in person.
The organizers say there was a note on the website that initially stated that vaccination proof was needed, but that was Alabama Vaccination Prevention Passport Act..
“At the end of Monday’s meeting, Fest said it violated state law by standing up to the public and asking participants to prove that they had been vaccinated,” said Council Chairman Jack. Barrel said. “But we saw it, they no longer need it, as far as we are concerned, it’s the point now.”
Currently, the website says: “In Alabama, businesses and organizations are not allowed to require vaccination certification, so it is highly recommended (but not required) to wear a mask at indoor events.”
