Man throws baby after arguing with girlfriend: Memphis police

MEMPHIS, Tennessee — A man has been charged with throwing his 1-year-old son after an argument with his girlfriend at a Memphis hotel.
Police say Edwin Conner and his girlfriend were arguing at the Airport Inn when he punched her in the face and began strangling her.
The victim said she lost consciousness and woke up to find Connor punching her in the face again. He then started pulling her hair and biting her head, arms and her back.
She eventually separated from Connor, left the room and called the police.
About three hours later, the officers returned to the hotel, where Connor had returned, taking his son from the back seat of the car and preparing to leave.
Conner crossed the parking lot and dangled the child over the fence, as if he had dropped him over the fence.
When the victim approached Connor, he pulled the child back over the fence, threw it to the ground and fled.
Police said the boy suffered bruises and cuts to his head and lip.
Officers eventually found Connor in the area and took him into custody.
Connor was charged with child abuse and neglect, and evading arrest. He is scheduled to appear in court on January 3rd.
