Man hits trooper’s car while chasing him across causeway: Alabama law enforcement

Mobile, Alabama (WKRGMore) — Alabama law enforcement said it had arrested a man who led officers in a chase across the causeway.

Jamal Adams, 24, was held in Mobile County Jail and charged with attempted escape, reckless endangerment, first degree criminal conduct, fleeing the scene of an accident, and other traffic violations.

ALEA troopers tried to stop Adams for a speeding ticket on US 98 on the Causeway, but he wouldn’t stop. Adams led the troopers to Pritchard, where the Pritchard Police Department helped stop Adam’s car.

During the chase, Adams was hit by a trooper police car and a second car. This happened around 3:25 PM on Thursday, February 16th.

No further information is available as ALEA Troopers continue to investigate.
