Lake Forest Murders: Judge Denies Bail for Suspect in Daphne Murder

update: A circuit judge has denied bail to Lake Forest murder suspect Jared Smith Bracey. Chief Assistant District Attorney Teresa Heinz asked for no bond in the case.
The judge appointed Smith-Bracey as the two attorneys. They met briefly with Smith Bracey before the morning hearing. He said he thought it should be set.
A judge agreed with Heinz and denied binding.
Smith-Bracey pleaded not guilty on the basis of mental illness or disability. His mother cried the whole time in court.
Bay Minnette, Alabama (WKRG) — Accused Man Brutally murdered his grandparents, brother and beloved family friend Wednesday night at Daphne’s Lake Forest Subdivision He was brought into court in Bay Minette for a bail hearing on Friday morning.
Jared Smith Bracey, 21, faces four counts of murder. At a press conference with Daphne Police on Thursday afternoon, Assistant District Attorney Teresa Heinz said she would not ask the judge for bail.
Heinz also said many factors would play into whether Smith Bracey would face the death penalty, but Heinz did not rule out the possibility of the death penalty.
