Instagram down: users complain that they can’t log in with Twitter

Meta-owned Instagram is currently down for many users in India. As with previous outages, frustrated users complained about the outage on Twitter, the microblogging platform. Some users complain that the feed doesn’t update, but some users can’t log in to the app. Instagram is likely testing a new story layout that hides excessive posts..

According to the Down Detector, Instagram has been down since around 9:45 am. Several users have complained from cities such as Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Mumbai and Bangalore. Some users are constantly checking on Twitter to see if this issue has been resolved.

A user wrote on Twitter that “Instagram has shut down ??? Login is not working … # instagram down”.

However, for some users, Instagram is working after trying to force the app to stop and restart. Instagram isn’t aware of the issue yet and hopes the social media platform will provide an explanation.
