Framework reveals details of upcoming AMD-powered laptop 13

March, framework announced Several new products and upgrades have been added to the modular laptop lineup. The announcements included new Intel models, bigger and more powerful gaming laptops, and finally an AMD version of that laptop 13.

However, what the framework didn’t disclose were the actual details other than the fact that the AMD-powered Laptop 13 would use AMD Ryzen 5 or Ryzen 7 series CPUs.

on wednesday, framework revealed Details, that’s what’s important. The AMD version of the Laptop 13 is available in Ryzen 5 7640U or Ryzen 7 7840U configurations.

both composition is currently available for pre-order and will begin shipping in the third quarter of this year.

The DIY edition (build it yourself at home) with the 7640U series starts at $711, excluding memory, storage and operating system. 7840U builds start at $1,031 before all additional components.

Why do we have the option of buying a laptop with no memory, no storage, no OS? That’s why the Framework is so appealing to many. You can add compatible components you already own to your laptop. Alternatively, you can choose from the list of options currently on the Framework site. it’s up to you.

Or, if you’d rather go the more traditional route of a pre-built system, the AMD Laptop 13 starts at $1,049 for a laptop that works right out of the box.
