Mobile, Alabama (WKRGMore) — A former Leflore High School teacher was arrested Tuesday after he was accused of having sex with a student, according to Mobile Jail Log.
Zachary Calhoun, 30, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals shortly after 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday and placed in Mobile Metro Prison. His charges include sex with a school employee (x2) and first degree sexual abuse.
An official with the Mobile County Public Schools System said allegations were made that Calhoun had “misbehaved with a student” in 2021. MCPSS reportedly fired Calhoun summarily. A school board official said the child advocacy center and mobile police were contacted.
