FLORIDA: Pensacola contractor Jesse Lacoste was arrested on larceny charges at the Santa Rosa Company.

SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Florida (WKRG) — The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Pensacola contractor Jesse Lacoste on suspicion of theft.

LaCoste, 30, was charged with theft after allegedly failing to complete work done on a project at Gulf Breeze, according to the SRCSO.

On August 31, an agent said it responded to 1028 Magnolia Lane, Gulf Breeze regarding the fraud complaint. The victim said in November 2020 he signed a contract with LaCoste Construction Group LLC to perform his post-Surrey work after Hurricane.

Victims paid LaCoste $15,385.12 on July 16, 2021 in accordance with the contract, and said work has not begun. LaCoste said he cashed the check on July 23, 2021.

On September 19, 2022, the victim said he received a certified mail package that was undeliverable and could not be forwarded to LaCoste Construction.

To date, the victim has not spoken to Lacoste and said he has not received any repairs to the house or a refund.

LaCoste was placed in the Santa Rosa County Jail on $10,000 bail at 5:40 pm Wednesday, November 30, and was released Thursday at 1:25 am.
