Florida man, two women sentenced to 15 years in prison for assault: state attorney

Escambia County, Florida (WKRGMore) — A man was sentenced to 15 years in prison after hitting one woman in 2021 and another in 2023, according to a statement by the Florida Attorney’s Office.
Roman Nathaniel Osteen was sentenced to aggravated assault charges on Wednesday, May 10. According to the release, Austin vowed not to contest the deteriorating battery charge in March 2021.
Austin is accused of strangling the woman and punching her in the face multiple times before being arrested. While on probation in January 2023, Austin allegedly “severely beat the child’s mother in front of the child and strangled her.”
At the sentencing hearing for probation violations, prosecutor’s attorney Christopher Patterson said Austin should receive the maximum sentence for his “ruthless conduct.”
