Florida Fire Chief Arrested After Attack

Vernon, Florida (WMBB) — A disagreement between colleagues resulted in one going to the hospital and Ebro’s volunteer fire chief going to jail.

The incident occurred Thursday morning at Circle “H” Gas & Deli in Vernon.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy said Ebro Fire Chief Jackie Wade Moon, 48, was caught on CCTV footage.

The video shows Moon approaching Rebel Lee Marsh and two other men. Moon and Marsh confront each other and Moon grabs Marsh and takes him to the asphalt. Marsh is then seen standing up, holding his head, and running into the store.

Marsh suffered a large cut on his forehead and was treated at a local emergency room.

After questioning all those involved, the agent determined that the four were cooperating. Moon got into an argument with Marsh on a work-related chat page, they said. The altercation turned physical when they all showed up at the gas station.

Moon was arrested and charged with a felony.
