Families of Pritchard murder victims speak out. Hoping for justice and murder updates – WKRG News 5

PRITCHARD, Alabama (WKRG) — Pritchard Police are investigating the shooting that claimed the life of Jaylynn Fox, 22, on Sunday, February 19. And now they are looking for answers.

Police say Fox was killed at the Gulf Village Homes on Circle Drive. His mother, Michelle Fox, says he was there with people he knew.

“My terminology of the situation is that he was around someone he knew,” Michelle said.

The family said Jaylin was affectionate, outgoing, and had a smile that could light up an entire room. His family say they would warn him to choose his friends carefully because of his personality traits.

We explained to him over and over. They’re not your friends,” said Ariel Fox, Jalyn’s sister. “I don’t care how they present themselves. They’re not your friends. And because he had a loving heart and was so full of love. sacrificed.”

Few details about Jaylin’s case have been released, but the family says they are looking for any updates. The family says they have heard nothing from the Pritchard Police Department. Makes people doubt about getting justice.

“It is sad that so many young men and women are killed there and their stories are not heard. “But Jaelin’s life mattered.”

WKRG News 5 contacted Pritchard Police Department to assist Jaylin’s family in obtaining answers. A spokesperson for the Pritchard Police Department confirmed an active murder investigation was underway, but no suspects or arrests have yet been made.

Foxx’s family wants more than just arrests and identification of suspects. His brother, Gerald Archard, says that after his arrest, efforts must be made to ensure that the same thing does not happen again.

“We’re not just standing there for them to find suspects,” Archard said. “We are laying the groundwork for them to change the story of our neighborhood and help everyone understand that we are more than just bullets. It’s not just a dead man.If you’re a city councilor, I’ll claim it in the office.I’ll call their office. What are you doing? What’s the next step after you find the suspect?”

Little information has been released by police, but his family say they will do whatever it takes to get him justice.

“I will not,” said Michelle. “I won’t stop. If I take my last breath in my body, I will get justice for Jaelyn, and everyone can know he was my child, He was a golden child because my son knows he won’t quit until his mother gets justice for him.

The Fox family urged anyone who knew anything about Jaylin’s murder to contact Pritchard Police.
