Community members are invited to test their knowledge of thermal switches
Bangalore, India – December 8, 2021: The Avnet community, element14, hosts design challenges for thermal switches (also known as thermal sensors) to celebrate a new generation of temperature sensors that offer higher accuracy, faster response times, and better stability. doing. Participants will be provided with a kit of thermal switches to try out their usage, applications, responses and more.
“Traditional bimetal thermal switches have been at the heart of thermostat temperature control and overheat protection design for many years.” Dianne Kibbey, Global Head of Community and Social Media in the element14 community, said. “With this latest design challenge, we look forward to how community members can test the latest thermal technologies and creatively leverage what they can build with these elements.”
The application is currently open to be one of 10 sponsored challengers who will receive a free Thermolite® thermal switch kit consisting of 15 different switches and a Multicomp Pro IR thermometer. The sponsored challengers will be announced on January 7, 2022.
Participants will take over eight weeks to complete testing and experimentation and submit at least two blog posts covering the development process. The first blog post should be an introductory post that describes the planned and planned experiment by January 21, 2022. The second blog post should share the results of the experiment with images, screen captures, videos, tables, charts and more. Explain the results in a compelling way. In this blog post, we also need to share everything that was discovered about thermal switches as part of this process and expires by March 14, 2022.
Winners will be announced on March 21, 2022. The Grand Prize winner will receive a Legion 5 Gen 6 AMD (17-inch) with a digital oscilloscope, InfiniiVision 1000 X-series, or RTX 3050 laptop. The runner-up will receive a SideTrakAxis triple portable monitor for a laptop or Apple iPad Mini. All other finishers will receive the Multicomp Pro Pdf data logger as a finisher award.
