Coronavirus Company News Summary-Pfizer and BioNTech partner with Biovac to manufacture vaccines in Africa

Pfizer And BioNTech Entered a South African-based statement of intent Bioback Research Institute For the production of their Covid-19 vaccine supplied by the African Union. Biovac handles production and supply activities within Pfizer and BioNTech’s global Covid-19 vaccine supply chain and manufacturing network. By the end of the year, Biovac’s Cape Town plant will be part of the vaccine supply chain, with annual production expected to reach a final dose of over 100 million doses at full capacity.

Vietnamese pharmaceutical company VABIOTECH Manufactured a test batch of Russian Sputnik V Covid-19 vaccine. The Russian Direct Investment Fund has noted that the Gamalaya Center will receive initial verification samples from test batches for quality control purposes. Meanwhile, the Republic of Chile has approved Sputnik V, which is currently approved in 69 countries.
