Brother UK Holds Investors in People’s Pratunam Status – PCR

Brother UK is the first in the UK to hold Investors in People (IIP) Platinum status three times in a row, recognizing its long-standing business focus on effectively leading, growing and supporting its employees.

The Platinum Award is widely regarded as the highest rating given to companies in UK HR management, with only 2% of companies meeting strict standards.

Companies are evaluated every three years and more than 50,000 organizations are certified, including McDonald’s, Sainsbury’s and the NHS Trust.

Brother UK employs 150 people at its headquarters in Tameside, Manchester, with an average stay of 14 years. This is an industry leader.

Sam Johnson, Brother UK’s Learning & Organization Development Manager, said: It is their expertise and experience that drives our business forward, so constantly reviewing and improving the ways we support them is essential to our success.

“Achieving the Platinum Award three times in a row is a big achievement for us, but it’s especially special. Like all other businesses, we adapt the way we support people quickly through a pandemic. This award makes sense when faced with some of the biggest challenges for people and organizations.

“With the departure from the pandemic, people have different expectations about their jobs and are aware of what they want from their careers and employers. We led a review of the organization-wide value proposition in 2021. At that moment I made sure I was well prepared. “

Brother UK has moved to a hybrid working model. In this model, about 90 employees work in the office three days a week instead of five days a week. The new policy, in parallel with the significant investment in redesigning Manchester headquarters to support collaboration and social interaction, has created new sub-meeting rooms and meeting rooms.

Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People, said: Platinum certification is a remarkable endeavor for any organization and has great relationships with many organizations that understand the value of people. “

Phil Jones MBE, Managing Director of Brother UK, said: In such an active employment market, you really have to offer something that attracts people to your company, and our suggestion to invest in our personal and career growth is me. Help us do this. Maintaining Platinum status three times is something we are really proud of. “
