Okaloosa County, Florida (WKRGMoreA man was killed and two students were hospitalized after a school bus collided with a motorcycle on Highway 98 Wednesday afternoon, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a statement.
The crash occurred at approximately 2:26 pm on Wednesday, January 25, on Route 30 off of Highway 98 in Okaloosa County, on La Fontaine Bleu Street.
A 28-year-old man from Navarre was driving west on the inside lane of Route 98 on a motorcycle, according to a release. The Okaloosa County school bus stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of Highway 98, southbound on Fontainebleu Street.
The bus slammed into the intersection and into the path of the bikes, according to the statement. The motorcycle hit the left side of the school bus.
There were five children on board, two of whom were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
