MOBILE, Alabama (WKRG) — Longtime mobile DJ and 92 Zew founder Kat Sarten has died at the age of 68, the station’s director of operations Tim Camp announced.
Camp told WKRG in a statement:
“With a heavy heart, shock, disbelief and joylessness, I have to announce to everyone the passing of Catt Sirten, the founder of 92 Zew.
Kat left us on the morning of Sunday, August 6th while we were working on our favorite Sunday Jazz Brunch show.
The cause of death is unknown at this time, but he was found peacefully asleep listening to his favorite music.
He left this world doing what he loved in life.
All of us at 92 Zew extend our deepest condolences to his surviving family and all the friends who have surrounded him over the years.
Going forward, we will plan appropriate events and ceremonies to commemorate his life. “
