Asus Zenfone 8 smartphones are likely to get a 120Hz display: Report

Asus is ready to launch the Zenfone 8 series next month on May 12, 2021. The new Zenfone 8 series is reportedly made up of at least three phones. Prior to launching, the company made fun of its flagship smartphone with its official Twitter account. The new teaser suggests that the phone gets a higher refresh rate, perhaps 120Hz. The teaser video shows the smoothness of the Zenfone 8 display. The Asus ZenFone 8 is scheduled for release on May 12, 2021.

Therefore, it is safe to assume that the company will incorporate a 120Hz display. This is better than its predecessor with a 90Hz refresh rate. However, it’s unclear if the company will deploy this feature on all three phones or if it will be specific to a particular variant.

The future Zenfone 8 series will include Zenfone 8, Zenfone 8 Pro, and Zenfone 8 mini. If the market report should be believed, the Zenfone mini will get a slightly smaller 5.92 inch OLED display, along with a 64MP primary sensor and an all-new Sony IMX663 sensor.

Zenfone 8 and Zenfone 8 Pro phones, on the other hand, can be powered by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. Apart from the 120Hz refresh rate, one of the Zenfone 8 is rumored to get an FHD screen with a higher refresh rate of 144Hz.
