Anritsu Introduces Modular 2-Port VNA Combines Performance, Ease of Use, and Cost Benefits at Frequencies Up to 43.5 GHz

Anritsu Company Shockline™ ME7869A The Distributed Modular 2-Port Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) can perform long-range full-vector S-parameter measurements over long distances up to 100 meters. Three models, operating up to 8 GHz, 20 GHz, and 43.5 GHz respectively, offer unprecedented cost efficiency, flexibility, and ease of use for a variety of existing and new commercial and military antenna design applications .
The ME7869A consists of two MS46131A 1-port VNAs, each of which can be directly connected to the Antenna Under Test (AUT). Cable lengths for each VNA module can be the same or different depending on the application. This eliminates the need for long RF coaxial cables that introduce high loss, phase and amplitude instabilities. The unique design addresses the need for accurate and repeatable antenna measurements over long distances, such as in anechoic chambers and antenna test ranges.
Anritsu’s PhaseLync™ synchronization technology allows two MS46131A VNAs to be phase-synchronized with each other over a distance of 100 meters. PhaseLync improves the dynamic range and measurement stability of S-parameter measurements by eliminating the long cables required by traditional benchtop VNAs.
Another key advantage of the distributed modular VNA solution is the MN25132A control module which greatly simplifies installation. It acts as a connection point for cables and powers two MS46131A VNAs. There is no need to connect separate power supplies to the two VNA heads. The control module also connects the two VNAs to a laptop configured with ShockLine software.
Supports multiple applications
ShockLine ME7869A offers performance, cost and simplicity benefits for insertion loss applications requiring long cabling at frequencies up to 43.5 GHz compared to alternative and expensive benchtop VNAs requiring excellent dynamic range. bring. The ME7869A can be used in satellite, materials measurement, aerospace and defense, and signal integrity environments.
