The Verge reports that this feature was previously reported by app researcher Alessandro Paluzzi, meaning that there is an equivalence between Instagram stories and traditional posts.

In 2016, Instagram added automatic translations to comments, captions, and user biography, but couldn’t include this feature in stories released a month later. The new feature can translate text, but the company states that speech translation is not available “at this time”.

Recently, Instagram announced that it is testing the ability to collaborate on reels with feed posts called “Collab” in India. Collaboration allows you to invite collaborators to feed posts and reels so they can share content with their followers. Once approved, you’ll be shown as the author, your content will be shared with your profile grid and followers in your feed, and your shared feedback will be visible to both.
