2 Found with gun, drugs, catalytic converter removed during traffic stop, arrested: Mobile Police

Mobile, Alabama (WKRGMore) — The Mobile Police Department said it arrested two people Saturday night after guns, drugs and a removed catalytic converter were found.

Roosevelt Westley (35) and Tiffany Swinney (38) were arrested. Westry is charged with prohibited specific persons, possession of controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstruction of justice using false identities, and secondary metal recycler. Swinney has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police say Westry has also been implicated in four previous thefts involving catalytic converters.

MPD stopped Westley and Sweeney on Michael Donald Avenue around 11 p.m. Saturday, March 4, according to a release. Police said they were looking for Westley.

Both Westley and Swinney were taken into custody. Police found guns, thieves’ paraphernalia, detached catalytic converters, drugs, and drug-related paraphernalia.
