$ 10,000 Reward Provided in Investigation of New Orleans Restaurant Owner Murder Case

New Orleans (WKRG) —Approximately two months after the restaurant owner was killed at his home in New Orleans, police hope that increased compensation will help find the person responsible for his death.

Crimestoppers announced on Tuesday that up to $ 10,000 will be rewarded to anyone with information that could lead to the arrest and prosecution of the person who killed Richard Washington.

On the evening of October 14, Washington reportedly returned home from work and was shot dead in the backyard of Mariney’s home. NOPD reports that the incident happened around 7:30.

The Crimestoppers flyer details Richard Washington’s murder and the rewards he is trying to capture for the person responsible for his death.

Washington’s murder continued two days after his chicken restaurant, Wing Taxi, opened its grand opening in the French Quarter.

According to a statement by Crimestoppers, the reward will be half paid at the time of arrest and half at the time of prosecution. Depending on the information received, the money may be split among reporters.

If you have information about Washington’s death, please contact the Greater New Orleans Climb Stopper (504-822-1111) or Toll Free (1-877-903-STOP).
