1 dead, 1 injured in hit-and-run accident

Escambia County, Florida (WKRGMore) — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal hit-and-run on Sorrento Road Wednesday night.
Troopers are looking for a white 2005 Toyota Highlander with possible damage to the grille and windshield. According to FHP, the driver is likely a woman. The collision occurred shortly after 7pm on Sorrento Road near Blue Angel Parkway.
An SUV collided with two tandem bicycles. One was pronounced dead at the scene and his other cyclist was taken to Baptist Hospital.
